Kim (nee Seinen) Shelton

January 16, 2007

Kim Shelton (nee Seinen)

was born in Holland on Nov. 20, 1942 and left us too soon, on Jan.16, 2007 after a short battle with cancer, with her loving husband Les by her side.

She was the oldest daughter of Jan and Leni Seinen, grew up in Port Alberni and worked as an RN in Prince George and Powell River. In 2000, she and her husband Les retired to Parksville where they lived in the dream home they built together.

She was a compassionate wife, mother, sister and friend who inspired us to excellence in hospitality, and was the heart of our family.

She will be sorely missed by her loving husband, Les, children: Ron Reynolds, Dave Reynolds (Jane), Lanita Young (Gord), Glen Reynolds (Lianna), Randy Shelton (Lisa) and her grandchildren: Dan, Kristi, Brittany; Andy and Kate; Terra, Kyle and Stephanie; Ryan, Cassie and Courtney. She is survived by her mother, Leni Seinen, her siblings: Garret Seinen (Linda), Marian Crow, Betty Seinen (David), Geri Seinen and Sandy Veenstra (Tom). She was predeceased by Jimmy Shelton and will be missed by the Shelton family: Len Shelton (Dorrie), Ron Shelton (Patty), Karen Southern (Jim) and numerous nieces & nephews. She will be sorely missed by her best friend Sue Correia who lightened her spirit through the final days of her life.

A celebration of Kim’s life will be held Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Christian Reformed Church, 930 Trunk Rd., Duncan, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Kim’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
