May 17, 1981 - August 6, 2021
After a courageous battle with cancer it is with great sadness we share the passing of our beloved Lana Michelle Anglin (nee Busat).
Lana was born May 17, 1981 at Lacombe Alberta. She was the third child born to Robert (Bud) and Vivian Busat, sister to Jason and Dean Busat, beloved wife, Mother, Auntie and friend.
When Lana was born the doctor exclaimed, "oh we have a beautiful Cleopatra!!" Her hair was pure blonde and as it grew it was thick and lovely and had a curl in it. Her eyes were beautiful blue like crystal waters. She was a great baby and her brothers adored her.
Throughout Lana's life all those who met her were captivated by her humour, dancing and singing, love of music, and her beauty. She was known to say, "If I knew you, I loved you", simple as that. The same went for those who knew her; she was adored by many.
Lana worked as a Registered Nurse for 14 years at the Stollery Children's Hospital in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit. She also took on some teaching opportunities to mentor her colleagues over the years. She was well respected by coworkers, doctors and left a long lasting impression on her work family.
Lana's family and friends couldn't have been happier for her when she married Karim Anglin in 2009 and started fulfilling lifelong dreams of being a wife and a Mother. Their precious son Avery Haakon Anglin was born on August 17, 2014. He was the greatest joy of their lives. Lana's love of being a Mother to Avery was her most cherished gift.
Lana is lovingly remembered by her husband Karim, son Avery, her parents Bud and Vivian. Brother Jason (Sarah) step nieces Emma, Brooklyn, Katelyn, nephew Hunter (Georgia). Brother Dean (Shayna) Kyden, Jailey. Her Mother-in-law Neida (Nay-da) Dodd. Brother-in-law James Anglin. Sister in-law Sharon (Richard) Anderson.
Predeceased by her nephew Levi Busat.
Lana's memory will live on through her husband and son and her angel army of friends: Catherine Fennel, Wrama Willis, Jodi Wedlund, Allison Goodwin, Dianne Cortez, Cheryle Sidor and her best friend and chosen sister Amanda Johnson.
Perhaps what made her beautiful was not her appearance or what she achieved, but in her love and in her courage. Light ran wild within her and that was the way she came alive and it showed up in everything.
Love you more, our dearest Lana. Rest in heavenly peace our sweet baby girl.
Lana's memorial will be at the Busat farm, Gull Lake August 29 at 2 pm. The blue sign in the driveway 282057 twp 420.
