(Mom, Granny, Great Granny) lived 105 interesting years, dying peacefully March 28 at Eagle Park Health Care Facility. Always a gentle lady, generous and caring, she is loved by her family, Reed, Finn, Lucia, Amon, Nicki, Graeme, Conor, Leah, Kevin, Judy and Jim, and her relatives who visited
often, Gale, George and family, Beth, Dale, and Lenora.
She will be missed by relatives in Ontario; Freda, Jill, and Janice, and by many friends.
Her longevity, she once explained, was due to learning from the past, not living there, always being curious about the future, and,
perhaps, a love of crispy bacon and chicken wings! She adored her grandsons’ families and was always interested in their activities.
Her family is very thankful for the
exemplary compassion of caregivers at Eagle Park Health Care Facility.
Laurette wished there be no service for her passing. She requested her ashes be
given to the sea as were those of two of her great
grandchildren.
Those who care to make a donation in her memory please do so to the Oceanside Hospice Society.
