Leonard George Robinson

Robinson – Leonard George June 27,1911 – January 2, 2005

Leonard passed away peacefully at Eagle Park Care Facility in Qualicum Beach at the age of 93. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara after 67 years of marriage. Predeceased by son Douglas in 1968. He will be greatly missed by daughter Nancy Lyon and son-in-law Ron Lyon, grandaughter Kathryn Blas (Gordon) and grandson Kim Ansley (Cindy) and four great-grandchildren. Also, two sisters Vivian Thomson and Phyllis King and many nieces and nephews. Len was a kind man with a gentle spirit who loved the outdoors spending his time fishing and hunting. He enjoyed telling stories of his younger years especially at the age of 17 as office boy working for Alberni Pacific Lumber Co. in Port Alberni. He became manager of Stewart and Hudson Lumber and later managed the Alberni Golf Course. Len was a member of the “Merry Bachelor Club” a unique group of Port Alberni single men. Many good stories were generated by the members of that group. Our family wish to thank the nurses and caregivers at Eagle Park for giving loving care to Dad. A tea will be held for family and close friends at Eagle Park Care Facility in Qualicum Beach on Friday January 7, 2005 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of choice. Len will be fondly remembered by family and his friends.
