BERRY, Leonard Harrison
Passed away gracefully on September 12th 2005, age 87.
Born in England on April 7, 1918, at St. Leonards-on-Sea, then in 1920 moved to Vancouver with his mother. After his army discharge, he worked most of the war
years at Boeing Aircraft Plant #1 on West Georgia Street. He has left behind his loving family, Brock (Shari) & Blair (Kelly)
grandchildren Chris (Sarah) & Chelsea, greatgrandchildren Dexter/Isabella Berry.
Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret of 64 yrs & our sister Lynda Berry. Dad dedicated his life to our family & the lives of the families
he touched for 62 yrs as a Chartered Life Underwriter. Gentle father & grandpa, golfer, swimmer, scout leader, lover of people, dogs and
the Fine Arts. Valued friend to many, highly respected in his business community. We’ll miss his sense of humour & style, his love of
music, theatre, good books & a good
martini – “three olives please.”
Following private cremation, we’re planning a
celebration of Len & Marg’s life together. To be held on October 12th at Spurway Lodge, 235 Keith Rd, West Vancouver, 2 — 4 pm.
In recognition of their generous hearts, any donation in their memory would be greatly appreciated by the Canadian Red Cross, to aid
global humanitarian efforts. In lieu of flowers, their family would love that a tree was planted somewhere in their honour.
