In loving memory ~
Lesley Claire Randle passed away peacefully in Palliative Care at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on September 7th, 2021 with family by her side, after a very courageous battle with an aggressive form of cancer. She was 65 years old.
Predeceased by just a few months by her soulmate, best friend & husband Charlie, Lesley is survived by her daughter Jenaya (Sunita), her son Jordan (Sarah), her step- daughters Rebecca (Jeff) & Genevra, as well as many siblings, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, aunts & uncles, and many, many, many friends. And her beloved dog Cooper!
Lesley grew up in Nanaimo, graduating from Nanaimo District Secondary School in 1974. After graduating, she went on to become a Certified General Accountant, and after being in the accounting industry for many years she would open up the beloved sports store Sports Traders in Parksville alongside her husband Charlie, and they would own the store for a full decade before selling it. Lesley met Charlie at their 25th high school reunion in 1999, and they would move to Qualicum Beach together a few years later to begin their life together.
Lesley enjoyed many things --- she loved golf and was a familiar face at the Eaglecrest Golf Club, frequently getting in 18 holes and a sip (or two) of "birdie juice" with the girls. She loved playing board games & card games with family & friends, and she loved watching her Vancouver Canucks & Green Bay Packers. She loved her kids so much and was always telling them how proud she is of them. Lesley's family would like to thank all of the doctors & nurses who helped her try to beat this, as well as helping to make her comfortable once we realized that beating it was going to be impossible. Our hearts are truly broken but we will take some comfort knowing that she is with Charlie now, and that they are both smiling down on us until we can all meet again.
We'll see you soon, Mom.
We love you so much.
A celebration of life will be held in 2022 when we can all be together. We will let everyone know as soon as we have picked a date.
