Linda Joy Rehlinger (nee Marshall), aged 73, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2018, surrounded by family. She was survived by Nick Rehlinger, spouse of 52 years, children Jakob Rehlinger and Mandi Hardy (wife), grandchild Quill Hardy, brother David Marshall and sisters Christine Dudley and Heather Marshall, as well as a wide circle of friends from her teaching career and gardening and spinning clubs.
Linda taught in a number of school districts over 30 years, specializing in school libraries for the majority of her career. As a Master Gardener Linda was known for her ambitious garden projects along with a dedicated interest in the fiber arts of spinning, knitting and rug-hooking. Above all, family was her abiding passion. She will always be remembered for her genuine kindness and generous nature.
There will be a celebration of the life of Linda Rehlinger at the
Yates Memorial Center in Parksville at 1:30 pm. Saturday 6th
July. You are invited to offer thoughts and memories of Linda at
this time. This will be followed by the interment at the gravesite,
ending with refreshments at the center's reception room.
