Linda passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10th, 2014 in Parksville. She was born in Weaverham Chesire, England on July 28th, 1920 to Ada and Henry Collier. Linda leaves to mourn her passing sons, Michael (Lovane) Vernon and Roger Vernon; grandchildren, Amanda Holland and Matthew Vernon; great grandchildren, Mason and Jaxon Holland. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Saint and son, Peter Vernon.

Linda worked on the buses in Weaverham during World War II. After immigrating to Canada in 1957, she worked in the correctional system in BC. Linda was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Branch #49 – Mt Arrowsmith.

Many thanks to the nurses and staff at Trillium Lodge for their compassion and care during her stay there.

A private family service was held in Linda’s honour and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Linda’s memory to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #49 – Mt Arrowsmith,
