Ludwig Weilmeier of Qualicum Beach, died peacefully on Friday, March 7 at the age of 82.
Ludwig was born in Miegersbach, Germany and immigrated to Canada in the early 1950s. After working in the sawmill industry in Northern BC, he met and married Maureen Barber. Together built a life in Prince George and had four children. After spending 25 years owning and operating various businesses, Ludwig and Maureen retired to Qualicum Beach.
Ludwig enjoyed golf, lawn bowling, and was an active member of Probus Club. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maureen; children, Andrew, Kristina, Patrick, and Catherine. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 13th at Catholic Church of the Ascension, 887 Wembley Road in Parksville.
