Mae passed away peacefully September 6, 2006 at MSA Hospital, Abbotsford.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Gordon, whom she loved for 67 years. She is survived by her 4 sons: Ron (Barb), Tom, Phil (Jean) and Jim (Rene); 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mae was born August 12, 1915 in Minnedosa, Manitoba. In 1937, she graduated as a registered nurse from Victorna’s Royal Jubilee Hospital and on September 7, 1939 she married Gordon in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She, her husband and four boys lived in varous communities across Canada and the United States. In 1966, they settled in Parksville, BC for thirty-two years and in 1998 moved to Ashcroft, BC where they happily lived for another eight years.

For the past nine months, Mae was in the loving care of her son Phil and his wife Jean in Abbotsford, BC, where a celebration of her life will be held on September 16, 2006.

In life she was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, crocheting and baking cookies for her grandchildren. We miss you dearly, Grammy! With love from your family.
