1922 - 2013
Marcelle Mongeau (Montpetit) of Dorval and Lachine, Quebec, died peacefully on May 2, 2013 surrounded by family. Born in Montreal, September 24, 1922, and graduating from Collège Ste-Anne, she was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Raymond Mongeau of Montreal, Quebec.
Marcelle, lovingly known to her family as Mamie, devoted her life to her treasured children, grand-children and great grand-children. Mamie is survived by her sister Denise (Bill Lea), her brother Bernard (Madeleine), her six children, François (Wendy Sandberg) of Parksville, BC, Francine (Graham Gould) of Kempville, ON, Jean-Pierre (Susan Orr-Mongeau) of Dorval, QC, Guylaine (Robert Gauthier) of Levis, QC, Johanne (Sonny Kis) of Lachine, QC, and Chantal (John Cairns) of Errington, BC, her 14 adoring grand-children and 9¾ great grand-children. Her endless love of family and the simple pleasures of life in the outdoors inspired us all, her lasting legacy.

The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the Centre d’hébergement Nazaire-Piché for their wonderful care and support during the last few years of Mamie’s life.
