Marie Cecile Oberacher

September 29, 1928- February 13, 2015

Cecile has joined her husband Willie, mother and father Eugenie and Emile Nadeau, brother Paul and sisters Gilberte, Jean, Yvonne and Theresa. Survived by her sisters Mary Lou and Marie Anne and her sons Douglas (wife Shari), David (wife Sharlene) and Jeffrey (wife Adina), also grandsons Mark and Blake, granddaughter Amanda, and Cecile`s faithful companion Snoopy.

Cecile was born in Montmartre, Saskatchewan and was raised on the family farm not far away. Life there was without luxury and with no shortage of hard work. In the 50’s Cecile worked as a nurse’s aid in Calgary and in 1959 married Willie and started a family, there her story became our story as well. In 1972 the family moved to an acreage on the Bow River in Cochrane Alberta. There mom`s background from the farm and hard work got put to good use. Looking back, these were the very best years. Mom created many fine needle point works of art as well as other crafts that we all will cherish. Cecile loved her garden and fishing.

In 1987 Willie and Cecile moved to Qualicum Beach where her love of fishing and gardening exceeded to a whole new level. Cecile will always be remembered for her strong character, her love and devotion for her family and friends. Mom you raised us well and taught us so much you will be missed more than you could ever know.
