Married Thomas George Hughes on Feb 9th, 1957 in Christchurch, England. Mum and Dad immigrated to Canada in April 1966 with their 4 small children.
Predeceased by her parents Ellen and Ernie Markham, her brothers Ernie (7 days old) and Jim (25 years old) and great Grandson Jaydon (3 months old), her husband Tom "Vanus" Hughes (78 years old on June 25, 2008). Survived by her 4 children; Karen, Paul, Danny Hughes, twin Vicky Andrew and 9 Grandchildren; Ryan, Ebony, Tamilyn, Rory, Melanie, Jesse, Ashley, Holly and Caroline.
And many Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren and her childhood life long friends Bubbles McGee (England), Joyce Weber (USA), friends and relatives in England, France, Italy, Australia & Canada.
Mum and Dad worked and lived in Edmonton, Alberta until moving the family to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta in 1971. Living there until moving permanently to their last home in beautiful Parksville, BC. in July 1995.
Mum was a new resident at Stanford Seniors Village Parksville BC. We wish to thank all the staff especially "Bayview" Staff for all their loving care and kindness towards Mum.
No funeral service as per Mum's wishes, there will be a private Internment at Yates "Serenity"Garden.
