Mary left us peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour March 20th., 2011.
She was born to Robert an Martha Joudrey Jan. 25th., in Greenwood, N.S. in the year 1914.
Traveling west as a young woman she settled on Vancouver Island, where she met and married John (Jack) Edgar in 1939. A friend to all she met, Mary spent her life loving and helping her family and friends.
She was known as Mary, Mom, Sister, Nana, Grand Nana, Grannie to all those who loved her.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Jack, daughter Dorothy Slater, 2 brothers; Wallace and Parker Joudrey, 1/2 brother Bert Rawson, 1/2 sister Florence Rawson and grandson Cory Edgar.
Mom is survived by her son Norman Edgar and daughter Margaret Bull of Parksville, sister-in-law Mabel Joudrey in N.S. Her grandchildren that she left behind are Greg Lennstrom, Karyn Wassing (Steven), Kathy Lennstrom, Lee Edgar (Colleen), Cindy Savage (Mike), Carrie Bull, Dean Bull (Nicki). Great Grandchildren are Bradyen, Janaya, Jason, Kody, Jessica, Trystan, Brennen, Trevor, Jerrid, Carson, Victoria, Russell, Benjamin, Ashley, and Brianna. Mary also had many nieces and nephews.
Mary was very proud of all her family and showed her love to them in many ways. She also leaves many close friends, whom she considered family.
We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the staff on Glenview at Stanford Place for the loving care given to Mary during her stay there. She loved all of you. Thank you to Dr. Brad Bell for all the care and concern that he has shown Mom the many years he has looked after her.
A Memorial Service will be held at Parksville Fellowship Baptist Church, 550 N. Pym, Parksville, B.C. Thursday April 7th. at 2:30pm
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Mary to Parksville Fellowship Baptist Church for “Send a Child to Camp”.
