MOORE, MARY FLORENCE
MARY Florence Moore passed away on March. 30th, 2008. at Qualicum Manor in Qualicum Beach, B.C. Mary was predeceased by her parents Nancy and Jack Moore and her sister-in-law Doreen. She will lovingly be remembered by her brother Jack of Devonshire, England, brother Don/Lorraine of Parksville B.C., nephew Brian/
Virginia of Winnipeg and
numerous nephews and nieces.
Mary was born in Winnipeg, April 11, 1924, and attended Linwood school in St. James. She was a competitive sports enthusiast her entire life excelling in speed skating and soft ball in her younger years and golf and curling later. Mary was an ardent member of the Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club and was honoured by being elected to the Board and voted Captain
of the women's club.
Mary spent her entire business career with the Eaton's Company in Winnipeg where she advanced to the level of store management and met so many of her future close friends. She had many enjoyable holidays with her friends at her
cottage at Laclu, Ontario.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff of Qualicum Manor and to Dr. Johann Wagenaar for the treatment and support they gave Mary in her last trying days. Mary's ashes will be sent to Winnipeg
to be interned in the family
plot with her parents.

Parksville SPCA or the North Island
Wildlife Recovery Assn.,
Parksville would be appropriate.
