PALMER , MARY LEILA

Born November 3rd 1932 in the province of

Saskatchewan. Passed away at Eagle Park Lodge Qualicum B.C June 26th 2014.

Predeseased by sister (Norma) and brother (Wayne). She is survived by her long time and loving partner Tom Lewis. Daughter Deborah Nugent, Pam (Bill) Fenner, son Terry (Lisa) Nugent, ten grand children and three great grand children.

Although Saskatchewan born, her early life was in the Yukon. Later she moved to Vancouver where she worked on various careers. After moving to Vancouver Island while employed at Arrow Smith Lodge she met her partner Tom and together they spent the next twenty three years enjoying life.

Lee as she was called by one and all loved travel, people, shopping around the clock and life in general. She enjoyed having family and friends over for a party and she would cook up a storm of food for all.

She was a twenty five year member and a past president of BR #49 Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxilary, and was a huge supporter of Canadian Vets and Cadets.

Her family meant everything to her and she just loved all her grand and great grand children equally as each and everyone of them was so special to her.

In her honour there will be a Celebration of Life

at the Royal Canadian Legion, 146 Hirst Ave. Parksville, Saturday July 19th 12:30- 2:30 pm.
