NORTH, Mary (nee Williamson) 1908 2002
passed away in Nanaimo Hospital August 2, 2002.
Mary came to Victoria with her parents from England in 1912 and spent the rest of her life on the Island, living in Port Alberni, Winter Harbour, Victoria again, and the last 25 years in Parksville. She enjoyed bowling and cribbage nights at the Legion; was well known for her letters to the editor and her book of verses “Come Rhyme with Me”. Predeceased by her husband, Art in 1983, lovingly remembered by daughter Bev (Jack) Lasure and son Mike (Pat) North; grandchildren, great grandchildren and many dear friends.
