May 5, 1935 - April 10, 2019
Our dear Matti (Mom, Oma) left us suddenly April 10, 2019 and will be missed so much by family, surviving husband (Bill Cave) extended families, friends and a big part of the community. Dedicating many years to the Lioness Club, 32 yrs. to the Legion Ladies Auxillary and a sister at the Wildwood church.

Her journey started in Holland, surviving World War II and immigrating to Qualicum Beach with her parents (Henk & Truus Maas) and younger brother (Cor), in 1953. A true pioneer of Qualicum Beach!

Matti always had a smile and hug for everyone and was a beautiful person, inside and out. A special lady to a lot of people!

Having a passion for growing flowers, feeding the birds, cuddling her dogs, baking her famous cookies and knitting while cheering on her favourite hockey team! Family events with children, grand children and great grandchildren.

Matti's journey has ended with the Lord in Peace, with no service by her request. A private family gathering will be held on on May 5th . Love you forever......Mom!

Thanks Bill for making Matti happy in her last few years.... a romance filled with music!

Special thanks to Dr. Brad Bell for his caring services.

Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. Their delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation.

It's the simple things in life that make it good!
