Maureen Ann HORGAN

Maureen Ann HORGAN

January 27, 1942 – May 24, 2013

Maureen passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Regional Hospital following a three month, rapidly progressive dementia.

She was born and grew up in Vancouver, attending Mackenzie and John Oliver schools, where she was very active in sports. She then began her career with Canadian Pacific Airlines and travelled the world in her younger days. Having lived in Ladner for many years, she moved to Parksville five years ago and enjoyed the serenity of the Island. She was a familiar sight walking on Qualicum and Rathtrevor Beaches.

She was the eldest daughter of Marion and Jack Horgan and is survived by her sisters Heather Horgan and Suzie Hedden ; nephews Rob (Dana) Suzukovich, Michael (Jamie) Hedden, Steve (Rosa) Hedden, Ryan (Zoe) Hedden; nieces Charlene (Derek) Taylor, Shannon (Jim) Spencer and seven Great nieces and nephews.

Aunty Mo’s passing will leave a huge void in our family. Her sweet and gentle nature will be missed by all.

There will be no service at her request.
