Mike passed away at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with loving family by his side after a lengthy battle with melanoma cancer.

Mike is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Ali (Cory), sons Darcy, Brett and Sam, his parents Margorie and Bill Corcoran of North Vancouver, brothers and sisters: Paul (Dawn), Kathleen (Richard Campbell), Susan (Ralph Rinke), Steve (Louise), grandchildren Molly and Leif Price and nieces and nephews Sean (Lisa and Jacob), Ashlie, Cassandra, Brianna, and Quinn. Mike was a husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend.

He was affectionately known as “Grumpy” to Molly and Leif, though he was anything but grumpy. A naturally funny and happy soul, he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Mike’s passion was hockey, playing as a goalie throughout high school, and he loved watching his boys play hockey. Mike worked and lived at Grouse Mountain for 20 years and made hundreds of friends through his work and spread his gift of joy and laughter through his outgoing personality. Most recently, he worked for West Vancouver’s Blue Bus - he loved going to work each day. He was a natural and authentic ambassador to the North Shore.

A special thank you to Doctor McLure and all the wonderful nurses and doctors in the Palliative Care Unit at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 3rd, 1:30pm - 4pm at Sunrise Ridge Resort, Parksville.
