HIGGINS, Michael Walter

It is with great sorrow and much regret that we announce the passing of “Higgybabe,” our brave and fearless leader, taken down in a gallant battle with cancer.
With heavy hearts and many tears, Mike is survived by his loving family and clan: partner “Toni” Mary Ann Stewart (Lynn), sons Lee(Margo) and Simon(Lisa and Tori), grandchildren, Sarah, Daniel and Rachael, brother Brian(Phoebe, Brad and Ethan) first wife Glenis (Geoff) and his always faithful “Wally-dog.” Predeceased by Parents George and Madge and mother-in-law Lillian.
“Mickey’s” was one of a kind! His academic achievements and body of work is too vast to mention. His passion for aviation and love of animals was matched only by his sharp wit and sense of humour, both of which he maintained even into his final hours.
Words can’t describe our loss, but the support of friends, family and caring medical staff has certainly helped and for that ... We thank you.
We will always love and miss you dad.
