It is with sadness that I report the passing of Monique Rosine MacQueen (née Tadjer). Born in Alexandria, Egypte, August 15th, 1934, Monique was a longtime Montrealer who practiced as a registered nurse in many notable institutions in the city. Later, she retired and became a resident and member of the community in Parksville, British Columbia. Monique passed away quietly on the morning of July 02, 2021 at the Nanaimo, General Hospital Palliative Unit. She is survived by her son (Patrick H Harrop) and will be missed by her close friends and relatives (Dan, Nicky, Michele, Eric, Shirley and Barb) who generously and tirelessly helped see her through her final months. At her request, there will be no memorial. Rather, her ashes were cast at sunset into the pacific ocean near her home in Parksville.
