Nancy Margaret Shaver

In loving memory ~
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy. She is predeceased by her sister Cathy, and parents Phyllis and Thomas McGarry.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Lorrie, children Carmen Rae Shaver and Lowell Timothy Shaver (Natasha), and grandchildren Stella Lauren Shaver, Owen Thomas Shaver, and Lily Yvonne Shaver.
Nancy was born in Mississauga, Ontario, after both her parents passed in early childhood, she moved to Lompoc, California to be raised by her aunt and uncle, Lon and Peggy Duncombe. She later moved to Parksville to join Auntie Eileen at the age of 18. She always loved the West Coast and met her future husband Lorrie here in Oceanside. She raised and loved two children here in the Parksville area, Carmen, and Lowell. Always grateful to enjoy her three grandchildren, friends, and relatives.
She loved the beauty of her home, her hobbies, and her work. She is deeply missed. Nancy also made it her life's goal to share her faith with her neighbours. Even to those that spoke other languages, for example, Mandarin. Especially did she love talking to others about God's promise of the earth-wide paradise, under a unified government that the Bible outlines.
She believed what the Bible says about sleeping in the grave, yet totally resting in Jehovah's perfect memory, awaiting a time when she will be restored to life on the earth under wonderful conditions. Nancy was the life of the party. She is deeply missed...
A Memorial Service will be held at Qualicum Beach Civic Center on January 21, 2023, at 3:30 p.m.
