Dec 15, 1923 - Dec 13, 2017
She was born in Vancouver, BC on December 15, 1923.  Nancy was predeceased by her parents Sid and Win Camp and her beloved brothers Bob and Raymond Camp.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Don McMillan.  Nancy is lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia, Bruce (Wanda), Sharon (David) and Mark (Shelley); grandchildren Janice (Trevor), Tara, Evan, Matthew & Emma; great grandchildren Connor and Mac; 1st cousin Hal Hussey (Corrine); sister in law Jean McMillan (Jack), nephew Jim (Vika); nieces Sheina (Rob) and Susan (Roger).

Born in Vancouver and moving to Port Alberni in her teen years, where she continued her love of music while working at "Fletcher's Music Store".  In the 1940's Nancy moved with her family to Qualicum Beach to run their "Village Cafe" (now a shoe store).  Nancy worked evenings as ticket sales person/usherette at our Village Theatre where she met Don. They married in 1950.

The things that brought joy to her life were family and friends, the family pets, her gardens and the driving tours that she and Don took the family and friends on.  Don & Nancy owned and operated year round, the "Cliff Cottages" at the crest of Bluebird Hill, beside their home.

Nancy was very involved in the community, particularly the Altar Guild and Annual Flea Market at St. Mark's, the Beautification Committee (which she co-founded with Ivan & Nan Knight).  The Town Planning/Design Panel, the Qualicum Beach Residents Association, and her beloved Rotary Club including 23 years of hosting foreign exchange students, staying in touch with and hosting return visits with many.  Nancy obtained the cherished Rotarian "Paul Harris Award".

The family extend special thanks to: the very caring staff, Dr. H. Fletcher and the many volunteers at Eagle Park; the Rev. Rob Hutchison and other visitors from St. Mark's; the Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach; the friends and neighbours whose frequent visits to Eagle Park always brightened her day, and fond memories of good treatment from Dr. El Karsh, formerly Dr. Inder and Home Support Staff.  A service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church on Friday, January 12th at 2:00pm. Communion and Churchyard Service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to our local S.P.C.A. or the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
