LENNAX, Nickolas

June 20, 1920 – January 26, 2014

Nick passed away in Victoria, BC on Sunday morning with his wife and children at his side, following a struggle with lung and bone cancer.

Nick is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Margaret, his loving children and their spouses: Sherry Judson (Phred), Linda Bishop (Bill), Marlene Wallis (Glen), Michael Lennax (Brenda), eleven greatly loved grandchildren: Sheryl, Randy, Tanner, Tara, Nicholas, Greg, Brent, Christina, Josh, Chelsea and Christopher, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his son Nicky in 1967.

Nick was born and raised in Victoria and he and Margaret moved to Parksville in 1983 before recently returning to Victoria. Nick served overseas in WWII in a heavy tank recovery unit. Nick was very proud of his Greek heritage and he spent many happy trips with Margaret touring the Greek Island, especially the Isle of Chios where his father was born.

Nick valued family above all. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, and always had a smile. We will carry you in our hearts, Dad. We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the Hospice team who helped us keep Dad at home, Dr. P. Kelly and Highgate Lodge for all their care over the last few months. Donations to Hospice or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Memorial Service is Sunday, February 2, 2014
