Rene passed away at Nanaimo Regional Hospital on April 13th with her loving family at her side. Born in Vancouver on July 28, 1931 to Chris and Pearl Hennel.
Predeceased by her husband Keith in 1985. She is survived by her son Chris (Kim), daughter Lynn, step sons Dale (Brenda), and Glenn and grandchildren Christine, Craig, Kelly, Kailan, Clayton, Kyra, Crysta.
Rene was an active member in the Qualicum Bay Area and contributed in many ways to the community.
