July 28, 1944 - December 16, 2013

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Odette Louise (Coursol) Harder, 69, of Qualicum Beach, BC, passed away after suffering a series of strokes at St Joseph’s hospital in Tucson, Arizona on December 16th, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born in Mont-Laurier, Quebec, on July 28, 1944 to the late Rolande Charbonneau and Henri Coursol. Odette is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Norm Harder; by her two children: Katherine and Greg; and by her 3 grandchildren: Cohen, Madeleine and Kayla. One of eight children, Odette is also survived by her siblings: Diane, Claude, René, Marie-Paul, Luc, Louis-Pierre and Danièle.

Odette was a vibrant and adventurous woman who greatly enjoyed life. She had many passions including golfing, biking, curling, kayaking, traveling and working on her beautiful garden. True to her French Canadian roots, Odette was a passionate and fun loving woman who enjoyed organizing activities for her friends in the various groups to which she belonged. She loved art and was an accomplished and talented painter. Odette will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Please join us in honouring the life of Odette Harder at the Eaglecrest Golf Course in Qualicum Beach, BC, on February 7th, 2014 from 2-4pm.
