ACKERMAN, Olive Jean
of Parksville, BC, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2004 at NRGH at the age of 80 years.
Left to mourn is her beloved son Warren (Peggy), grandchildren Karl, Aaron and Charlie. She will be deeply missed by her sister Mary in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, brother Jack and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia. In-laws Jack (Barbara) Ackerman and family, Rudy and Greta Bahula, godchildren Brent, Lyn and Glen Yaniuk from Nampa, Alberta, her poodle Misty as well as numerous friends.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Charles and brothers Warren and Vaughn.
Thank you to Jean’s neighbors for their friendship with Jean over the years, especially Bill and Doreen Bennie and everyone’s concern and support during her illness.
Thank you to Dr. Earpe-Jones, Dr. Edwards, Dr. Kim King, Dr. Hancock and the many nurses on the 3rd and 5th floors at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
A service to remember Jean is being held at St. Anne’s Cemetery, 407 Wembley Road, Parksville, BC on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Alex Thomas officiating.
