Patricia Blanche BERNOE

BERNOE, Patricia Blanche

Born in Winnipeg on February 5, 1936, Pat slipped away with grace and dignity in the early hours of November 25, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered and honoured by her husband Raul of nearly 53 years, son James, son Mike (Suzanne), daughter Julianne (Gabe), son Bill (Monica), son Christian (Karen), grandchildren Jessica, Erika, Natasha, Kimberley, Axel, Hannah-Lise and her many friends in the communities of Parksville, Qualicum and Nanaimo. Pat was a very special lady with the gift of humour, compassion and a love of dance, music and her garden. She insisted – and was successful on living a full life with all of what life had to offer. She had a pioneering spirit second to none and we will sorely miss her. The Bernoe family would like to especially thank her doctor, Dr. Richard Henderson who showed such care and compassion for Pat before and during her illness – thank you. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Margie at Community Care Services for her support and care for Pat – thank you.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 30 at 1 pm at the First Memorial Funeral Chapel at 1720 Bowen Road Nanaimo. Pat was a long-time supporter of the Salvation Army and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army in our community in her name.
