PECKA, Patricia Elizabeth
(nee Irwin)
January 7, 1953 - July 27, 2014
Pat passed away after a long courageous battle with MS. She was predeceased by her husband Gene. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Russell) and her grandsons Adam & David, as well as her two sisters Bev Irwin (Kerr Clark) & Carol (Leo).
Pat was the youngest daughter born to Rev Selby & Vera Irwin in Kamloops. She spent time in the Yukon and settled in Oceanside. She helped found the MS support group in Parksville and owned a children’s wear store in Qualicum. Pat was a feisty individual with an amazing sense of humor. Thank you to Dr S. Hashimoto and the staff at Nanaimo Senior’s Village for their loving care and support.
A Memorial Service will be held August 15th at 2pm at Yates Funeral Service in Parksville followed by a reception at Cuckoo in Coombs at 3pm.
MS is a very difficult disease but Pat never lost hope for a cure, in lieu of flowers please send a donation to the MS Society.
