In loving memory ~

The world lost a beloved mother and granny. Patricia Jean (Wyatt) Watson passed away on October 22, 2024 at Trillium Lodge, Parksville BC. She was 91.

Patricia was born in Bromley, Kent England on May 4, 1933. She emigrated to Canada in 1955 with her very good friend, Brenda Corr. They came to Canada by passenger ship on the R.M.S Saxonia arriving in Montreal, Quebec. They spent their first Winter working in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was the first time they experienced such cold weather. The next Spring they worked at the Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta and then made their way to Vancouver, B.C.

Both Brenda and Patricia met their husbands in Vancouver. Patricia was married for 67 years to her loving husband, David who predeceased her earlier this year. She raised three children, Barry, Trevor, and Marilyn in a happy loving home. She studied in England to become an elementary school teacher and had the opportunity to teach both in England and Canada. She ended her career working in the Flight Tech Department at Canadian Airlines.

Patricia made the most of every day. She loved to travel, read, play tennis in her younger years and golf in her later years. She enjoyed playing cards, having a good glass of white wine with a little bit of 7-up and going for motorbike rides on Mother's Day with her younger son, Trevor, well into her 80s. She was patient, kind and always happy. She was known for writing letters if she thought there was an injustice. She saw the good in everyone and lived by these two lines from the poem 'The Lessons of the Watermill", by Sarah Doudney ...... "Learn to make the most of life, lose no happy day; Time will never bring thee back Chances swept away."

Patricia has six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is survived by her loving family in Canada, England, and Australia.
