Pearl Victory Paton

October 29, 1918 – February 23, 2017

Pearl Victory PATON died peacefully at Qualicum Manor in Qualicum Beach on Thursday, February 23, 2017. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 29, 1918 and resided in Alberta all her life until retiring to Vancouver Island with her husband, Les in 1983. They enjoyed 22 years in their Qualicum Woods home, moving to Hawthorne Place in 2005, and Qualicum Manor in 2009.

Pearl is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Don), Jan, Laurie (Norman), and her son, Rob (Dianna). She is predeceased by her loving husband, Les in 2010, her daughter, Barbara in 2011, and by sons, Roland in 1990 and Keith in 1973. Pearl will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Randy, Kerry (David), Tami (Mike), Chris (Karen), Angie (Jeff), Leanne; great grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, Jake, Matt and Jocie.

All who knew Pearl will miss her warmth, and her smiling face. She looked for and found goodness and light in all people and will be remembered for her positive, caring nature. Her life was devoted to her family and her friends and our world is diminished by her passing.

The Browning, Harper and Paton families wish to thank the staff at Qualicum Manor for their loving and exemplary care for Pearl over the past seven and a half years.

A celebration of life to honour Pearl will be announced at a later date.
