CHRISTIANSEN, Poul Borge
January 20, 1923 - January 19, 2005
Poul, 81, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2005 surrounded by his family.
One of 12 children, Poul was born in Landet Ryde, Denmark. In 1951, Poul, his wife, and 2 children immigrated to Qualicum Beach,
Canada. At Eaglecrest Estate, he used his professional training as an exceptional gardener. Later, Poul moved to Parksville where he
worked at the Island Hall Hotel until his retirement.
Rarely idle, Poul was a bundle of energy. He always pursued his love of the outdoors, greatly enhancing nature’s floral arrangement and
sharing its bounty. Poul was well known for his expertise on the dance floor and his warm hospitality.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Lilli of 58 years; children Randi (John) and Tommy (Debbie); grandchildren Greta (Toni),
Nicole (Charlie), Mark (Mayumi) and Kai; great-grandchildren Alex, Monika, Dean and Renae. In Denmark, he leaves 4 sisters, one
brother, and many extended family members. Poul also leaves behind many wonderful friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Benton, the staff of Trillium Extended Care, the Ladies Auxiliary, entertainers and the many residents for
their help and support. There will be no service at his request. Cremation.
