May 7, 1922 - August 30, 2012
An avid golfer, curler, dancer; dedicated husband, father, and friend; Ray has left us at the age of 90. He was born in Kipling, Saskatchewan and joined the CNR as a telegrapher in 1940. He was posted with the RCAF in London, England during World War II where he met and married Irene, also from Saskatchewan. They raised four children in station houses across the Prairies and retired to Qualicum in 1981.
A Special thank you to the staff at The Gardens, who provided great care and empathy.
A celebration of Ray Elder’s life will be held at St. Stephens United Church, Qualicum, 2pm, Friday, September 7, 2012. All friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers please make donations to First Open Heart Society of BC or the charity of your choice.
