Ron passed away October 2, 2018 at Courtenay Hospital. Born February 17, 1920.
Ron was a commercial fisherman and did some logging in his earlier years. He was raised on Lasquitti Island by his Grandma Paige as he lost his mom when he was three years old. He became a high liner fisherman on his boat the Mar-Chris built by Cyril Thames at Bowser in 1952.
Ron is predeceased by his wife Marie Silvey, survived by his three sons Chris, Dan, Kim, and daughter Laurie and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a great Dad and friend to many.
No service will be held. He wanted his ashes to be spread where his wife Marie's were near the lighthouse just off Bowser shore.
