In loving memory

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Ivrine Moore on June 7, 2022 at the age of 87.
Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by family at The Gardens in Qualicum Beach after a stroke and a lengthy battle with dementia. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Bev, son Brad (Tracy) granddaughter Stephanie (Mike) grandson Jason (Lyndsey) great grandchildren Hannah, Carson, Addy, Jadyn, brother Gord (Alice) sister Lois as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan where he grew up and became head butter maker for Burns & Co. He then moved to Port Alberni, BC where he met Bev and they married soon after. He had several more careers over his lifetime including truck driver for Island Freight/CP Transport, Port Alberni & Powell River pulp mills, owner/operator of a scrap metal business, owner of Whiskey Creek Store, Christmas tree farmer and, as any of you who knew him will attest to, many multi-level marketing schemes, as he was certain one of them was going to be big one! He was a very kind man and loved people. He rode his quad for miles and miles and met many friends along the way.

He will be missed by anyone who knew him and hope he is at peace.
