Richard (Rick) MORGAN

June 3, 1947 – February 5, 2014

Rick, who was born in Weymouth Dorset (UK), passed away suddenly at his home. Survived by his loving wife Patricia of 43 years. Rick was far more than just a wonderful husband, he was my very best friend. We met when we were both 16, so we had 50 happy years together. He is predeceased by his parents.

Rick worked in the plywood industry in Port Alberni as a welder for 25 years. He was a member of the Parksville Legion for 35 years, and just received his 35 year membership pin.

He loved fishing, football, hockey and bird watching, but most of all he loved it when we were camping, which in the year 2010 we drove right across Canada in our truck & camper, which left us with such happy memories and left us some new friends.

In 2011 we drove to the Oregon Coast, on a month’s camping trip. Unfortunately after only three days we were hit by a drunk driver. Rick never really fully recovered from the accident.

I would like to say a huge big thank you to all of our friends and neighbors for the cards, flowers, phone calls and the food “ah yes the food” … please no more food, just for being with me any time of the day or night at this very sad time in my life is appreciated.

Special thanks to Dr. Desai for his compassion and
