Passed away on April 29, 2010 at the age of 70. Bob was raised in Powell River BC, and was predeceased by his brother David in 2005. Bob was stationed with the RCMP in AB for 11 years. In 1986 Bob joined BC Transit Police in Vancouver BC. Bob and his wife Kathy retired to Qualicum Beach BC in 1996.
Bob is survived by his wife Kathy; his two sons, Matthew (Beth) of Duncan BC; Michael (Tammy) of Edmonton AB; grandchildren Kristen, Blaine, Bradley and Heidi; stepsons Brent Field, Moncton NB; Todd (Shelley) Field, Oakville ON; grandchildren Vanessa, Madison, Thomas , Caleb and Gabrielle; his brother Marvin (Maija) Brockville ON; sister-in-law Elizabeth Kirkwood, W. Vancouver BC, and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for the compassionate care given to Bob by Dr. S. Noble and Dr. E. Wai; Home and Community Care Team; and the Palliative Ward of the Nanaimo Hospital.
At Bob’s request there will not be a service. In Bob’s memory donations may be made to the Vancouver Island Lodge, 2202 Richmond Road, Victoria BC V8R 4R5
