Voshall, Robert (Bob) Brant

Mr. Robert (Bob) Brant Voshall of Parksville, passed away on Tuesday December 08, 2009 at the age of 78 years.
Bob was born in Hannibal, Missouri, and grew up in Pittsfield, Illinois, where he played basketball, football and ran track. After graduating from University, majoring in business, he became a manufacturer’s representative for many national companies.
After retiring, Bob created the first flag company on the web, Evergreen Flags. He loved selling banners, flags and poles to the municipalities, people and organizations all over the world. Bob loved music, especially Dixieland style, and was an avid Bronco fan, bird hunter.
Bob and his wife, Ann, moved to the island from Colorado, in 2001, as landed immigrants and became permanent residents of Canada. He proudly served as President of the Northwest Probus Club, and because of his love of Jazz, arranged for many groups to visit the island.
He will be missed by his wife Ann and “His Girls” – 3 daughters and 5 granddaughters, and 1 son.

The family will always be eternally grateful to the outpouring of love, aid and caring from Island friends. How special you all are to them! Ann loves you all. Few people have kept relationships with others since grade school. The number of Bob’s good friends, throughout his live, was limitless, and he was contacted, during his illness by all of them. Add them to his “8 year old” friends, and Bob was truly blessed. This is Bob Voshall’s legacy!
