Robert Kenneth Baird
January 29, 1947 – December 26, 2014
Robert (Robbie) Kenneth Baird passed away peacefully on December 26th in the Palliative care ward of Nanaimo Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Leslie who was at his side as he took his final breath. In addition, he is survived by their children Ian (and Kerry) of Abbotsford and Shannon (and Toby) of Parksville, and by their dear grandchildren Kayla, Karson, Sadie and Libby.
A celebration of Robbie’s life will be held on
Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1pm at
Knox United Church in Parksville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Cancer Research (www.bccancerfoundation.com) would be greatly appreciated.
The family would like to acknowledge the heartfelt care of the staff at the Nanaimo Regional Hospital and especially thank the staff of the Palliative care unit for their compassion.
