SLATER, Robert McRae
December 12, 1960 - August 31, 2008
Rob was born on December 12, 1960 in Victoria and passed away suddenly in Parksville on August 31, 2008. Rob was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Mary Slater and is survived by his son Daniel and his sisters Eleada, Margaret, Shirley, and Jeanette. His is also survived by his brother-in-laws, five nieces, 5 nephews, 2 great nieces and 5 great nephews.
Rob grew up in Victoria and attended Royal Oak Schools. Rob loved his family and loved taking care of his son.
Rob loved the outdoors. He was an accomplished motor cross racer and did anything you could do in the air, land or on the water all year round. He loved to have fun and experience all life had to offer.
A celebration of his life, along with a pictorial tribute was held in a cedar grove where his many friends and family gathered to remember him. Rob bravely faced many challenges in life and will be fondly remembered by all his friends and family.
