OLIVANT, Robert
Bob Olivant passed away at the Eagle Park Health Care Facility in Qualicum Beach on June 19, 2004 at the age of 98 years.
Bob was the local historian and pioneer of the Qualicum Beach/Bowser area. He was born in Durham, England on June 28th, 1906 and emigrated to Canada in 1929. Bob settled on his farm in Qualicum Beach in 1934 and lived off the land for the next 70 years of his life. In December, 2003, Bob left his little farm house to live in Eagle Park. Bob is survived by several nieces and nephews in England and by his two daughters Jeanette and Lillian Olivant of Burnaby.
