Robert Seavy Pearson

(Son of George and Lynne Pearson)

July 8th, 1976 – December 26th, 2015

Rob was suddenly taken away from his family, friends, and colleagues on December 26th, 2015 in Oakville, Ontario, due to congestive heart failure.

Rob was the beloved husband and best friend of Shannon and devoted father of Emma (age 4) and Maxwell (age 6 months). Robert is survived by his parents George and Lynne Pearson of Parksville, sister Tanya and husband Chris Flood, Shannon’s parents Gregg and Jo-Ann Blake and Shannon’s brother Sean Blake and wife Dalal Badr. He leaves behind nieces Rowen and Jasmine and nephew Denver; and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

In his 39 years Rob demonstrated an extraordinarily kind and generous approach to life, always thoughtful of others. He was born in Victoria and lived in Regina, Ottawa, Toronto, and recently Oakville. Rob spent his formative years in Ottawa, where he attended Ashbury College, Carleton University and ITI. After graduation he travelled the world extensively and wrote about his global adventure: “Picture if you will...”

Robert was passionate about his work as Accessibility Officer with Accessible Media Inc (AMI) and was recognized as a global leader and advocate in accessibility. Robert’s time outside of work was devoted to his family and we know his love for them will last forever. Rob had met the love of his life Shannon at the age of 14 and they were married in 2007. His special bond with his daughter Emma can never be broken and his son Maxwell is a gift to all of us.

He faced his health challenges with a courageous spirit and his positive outlook on life inspired all who knew him. Please remember to live with Robert’s eloquent words, “If you believe in yourself and your abilities then you can achieve anything. Embrace every experience put before you, love the ones you love, and live your life right.” Robert’s motto was “Impossible is Nothing.” You will be missed but never forgotten. We love you Rob.
