After retiring from her working life in Victoria, Roberta followed 2 of her sisters first to Mill Bay then to Oceanside. She was very happy living in Parksville for the last 9 years. Always with a smile on her face, she enjoyed walking to the shops and handing out treats which she kept on her walker, to all her little furry friends. She was also very appreciative of the wonderful bus drivers in Oceanside who went out of their way to make things easier for residents when walking conditions were not ideal.
In the holiday season, she could be seen walking to do her chores wearing her jaunty Santa hat and a big smile. Her favourite time of year, she took pleasure in having people smile and greet her. Lunches out with her sisters were a highlight for Roberta, with lots of laughter. On Good Friday, following a difficult year and two weeks at Nanaimo Hospital, Roberta passed away unexpectedly. A very clever and cheerful woman, she will be missed by all who knew her.
