Hughes, Robina (Ruby) McDermid
September 4, 1931 – November 16, 2013
After a lengthy illness with ALS Ruby left this world peacefully, with Robert by her side, on November 16, 2013.
She leaves to mourn her husband Robert, in-laws Ken & Ann Hughes of Kilmarnock, Scotland. Gail Brownlee, niece & husband Bobby of Cypress.
She was a member of the Qualicum Beach Lawn Bowling Club for 18 years.
Extended sincere thanks to VIHA, Home Care, Home Care nurses and occupational therapists, Dr. C. Biglow and staff, and Dr. John Rieger.
To the nursing staff by the Palliative Care Unit, your professional and caring attitude is beyond words.
