Ronald Everett REYNOLDS

January 3, 2009

Ron was born in Toronto where he became an energetic and devoted teacher for thirty-three years. He was quite the adventurer, backpacking through Europe in the mid-fifties, teaching in Kenya and Ethiopia for six years, and camping across North America with his family. After retiring, he and his family moved to Parksville where Ron developed a thriving tutoring business and became an active member of his church, dedicating much of his time to the Sunday School.

Ron passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with heart disease. Many thanks to Dr. McClure of Parksville and the many doctors at the Heart Function Clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver for keeping Ron with us for so many years.

Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife, Wendy, and their two children, Lindsay and Brent, as well as by his two daughters in California, Kellie (Ralph) and Tracy (Brian), and nine grandchildren, Jake, Brittany, Brandon, Christine, Jessica, Meghan, Kiley, Lily, and Kennedy. He is also survived by his brother, Gordon (Lucy), and brother-in-law and family, Wayne, Janet, Grant (Sarah and baby Logan), and Blair. His large and supportive church family and many friends in Ontario will miss him greatly.

A church service will be held for Ron on Wednesday,

January 14th at 2pm at Knox United Church in Parksville. Contributions in memoriam can be made to the

“Ron Reynolds Memorial Fund” at Knox United or to the “Ron Reynolds Tribute Fund” at St. Paul’s Hospital.
