Ronald George (Ron) HARLOW

January 30, 1920 – May 24, 2011

Ron passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, at the Trillium Lodge in Parksville, B.C. at the age of 91 years. A much loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great, great-grandfather, and friend, Ron will be lovingly missed by his wife Jean of 70 years. His devoted sons Brian (Rose-Marie) and Dan (Merell). He was the proud grandfather of Scott and Todd and many great-grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Ron was predeceased by his grandson, Dr. Mark Harlow.

Ron was in the service of the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II where he served overseas for five and a half years. Later Ron worked as a fire chief for 25 years for the DND Fire Department in the Victoria area. Ron was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion 211 in Bowser, BC and an honorary member of the Qualicum Bay Lions and the Bowser “Lighthouse” Curling Club. He was a true man of integrity, generosity, and was respected and loved by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on June 5th from 2 – 4 pm at the Bowser Legion,

7035 Island Hwy W, Bowser, BC.
