Born June 14, 1924 in Plymouth, England and died in the Palliative Care Unit, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on June 18, 2009.
Ross was Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Navy during WWII, after which he joined the Merchant Navy. Then working and travelling extensively through New Zealand & Australia before arriving in Canada in 1957. And after many years in the construction industry throughout B.C. he retired to Qualicum Beach.
Ross was much loved and will be greatly missed by his dear friend, Betty Duncan and her children, Mary (Blair), Rob (Deb) and her grandchildren: Colin and his daughter, Valentina, Craig (Jenny), and Kate, Eric (Lindsay). Ross is also survived by his niece Kim Dart (John) and their daughter, Stacy, who is also Ross’s goddaughter, in Turkey and other relatives in England.
