Peacefully at home and surrounded by his family, Stanley Roy passed away on December 15, 2010 at the age of 82 years. He was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 22, 1928. Stanley was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie in 1995 and by his son Stephen in 2004. Stan is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Margaret as well as his son Paul and his daughter Gabrielle. He will also be missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Stan leaves many relatives and friends in both Ireland and Canada. Stan was very active in his community where his Irish wit endeared him to everyone.
Prayers were held on December 19, 2010 and a Funeral Mass on December 20, 2010 at the Catholic Church of the Ascension, Parksville, BC. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
