Passed away peacefully with family at her side. Ruby is survived by Jim, her loving husband of 62 years, daughter Irene (Jim) Maxwell, son Jim (Cyndie) Kingsley; grandchildren Brooke, Matt, Angela (Randy) and Ben; great grandson Braddock; sisters Doris (Jack) Davis, Ida Hubick; brother Don (Jerlene) Clemence; sisters-in-law Mary Kingsley and Melita Clemence; also many nieces and nephews.
Ruby was pre-deceased by her daughter, Ida Joyce in 1971 and her brother, Murray, in 1976.
Ruby was a sweet, loving human being who took pride in caring for her family, her home, her gardens and her world. Her quiet, patient, accepting nature will be forever missed.
A “Celebration Tea” will be held on Sunday, May 16 from 2-4 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Parksville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC/Yukon Heart & Stroke fund would be greatly appreciated.
